Happy to see this thread resurrected.  Keep posting your good news folks!!!

On my recent driving trip from Kentucky I had the pleasure of spending time with Potter in Montana, Kathy Copeland in Calif.  Nani in New Mexico and FINALLY meeting George, in Idaho.  Next month I'll be spending time with Bill and Pat Mitchell in Wisconsin.

As John Bebee always says..."headbangers rule"  Grin

Hi All,
We're in London right now, English Breakfast, Bangers & Mash, although not for me at this time of the year. Sad
We went to see Billy Elliot, Stage Show up west. We
really enjoyed it. Smiley will catch up with
you all later.

After being in Kentucky for the last 4 1/2 years, Jim and I are moving back to California.  Our house in Calif. is in Escrow and as soon as that closes, we'll be putting this house on the market.  We'll be looking for a house on the Central coast near San Louis Obispo.

Luinda,

'Ya gotta remember the "U" like in your name, when you spell out SLO.

I know that you already love the area, but you are going wonder why it took you so long to decide to move there.

Ya, know Marc...I would have said SLO, but no one except you, Shawn and BobP would have known what I was talking about.  lol

Yep, Joe.   I really thought I'd fit in here, but I'm glad to be going back to where I really belong.  Kentucky is a beautiful state and I love Jimi and Ruth but the people here have made it know that "yur not from around here"

Also my family (all in Calif)  have said they need me there.  Stresses me out too much when they call me and I can't do a darn thing for them over the phone.

I'm happy we moved here and we've been able to see all the things we've wanted to see on the East coast we've always wanted to, but it's time to go home where No one will stick up their nose at me and ignore me.

singing..."California, here I come.  Right back where I started from "    Grin

I knew what SLO stood for. Just last week we drove down hiway 1 from San Fran to Santa Barbara through SLO. Stopped in Morro Bay and took some blurry pix of the big rock in the ocean. The people there say that since Bob P and Marc left property values have dropped, businness have failed and the town is dying.  Grin

Modified to add the happy part........I'm not in San Francisco

I know what SLO is!  That's what all those people in the far left lane are driving!

Enjoy California, Linda.  Don't forget how to get back east for stuff though.

Well, I had a really great day today, because I spent it with family and old friends at a gun range, arranged by my sweetie of 26 years.

I don’t hunt much anymore, but I seriously love to target shoot - long ranges in particular. Some types of ammo are very scarce right now, but a bunch of people pitched in to make it a great day for me. (My 60th B’day was Friday)  I do a lot of daily backyard plinking in the 0-100 yard range, but it was a major pleasure to play out at long ranges on a private range today.

As I get older, my eyes just aren’t the same – but I held my own against the younger guys out to 300-400 yards. Out past that, yeah, I got skunked…….. I still have a lot learn about ringing steel at 800+.

I was also reminded that my wife can hold a tighter group with her .357 magnum than I can, up close under timed pressure shooting.  But, she was born and raised here in Texas, so pity the bad guy who tries to carjack/home invade her.  Gotta love a real Texas girl.

We shot a lot different stuff, but the Barrett .50 was sort of hard to beat. If you shoot, you know what a good day I had. Darn it was good.
