I found that link to Dr. Goadsby's other article about the Hypothalamus. {The one that mentions the Posterior Hypothalamus; it was right over there under [headache links] :-)}. Dr. Goadsby still doesn't mention the Pituitary though. Perhaps he has more research to do. It's much easier to read and much more interesting because there is also a person with Cluster Headaches involved in the interview as well.
The clusterhead says, "I've been to a naturopath, a homoeopath, chiropractor, I've had acupuncture, I've had Chinese herbs, I think just about everything except faith healing. And it's the same with the prescriptions. Every time I get offered a different prescription I get it filled, and I take it, and some of the prescriptions have had unpleasant side effects, and also haven't made any difference to the cluster headaches, so maybe after three days I've gone back to the doctor and said, 'I'm still getting them, this doesn't work' and he's said, 'Well we'll try this' and give me something else".
