Thanks to the efforts of Joe C. ,which entailed a gob of e-mails to find a time and place to meet, it happened. Many people responded to him but only 4 guys and one impish-smiling date showed up. You others missed it! I heartily encourage those in our area to make it to the next one.
It really was great. I hate gatherings where I don't know anyone....I am comfortable on stage but am very insecure one-to-one...but this was "something totally different". I've thought about it a lot but can't describe the "connection" or "bond" that I felt for each of these guys. I instantly "liked" and more than that...trusted them.
After only communicating, on this board, a few times in the chat room, and through e-mail with CHer's ...it was a whirlwind...an open flood gate of sharing our experiences, theories, and lives.
I can not even begin to imagine what that convention will be like.! The hardest part will be trying to carry on multiple conversations...getting to know everyone...and not wanting to miss out on anything anybody is sharing. It is gonna be a trip! I've been convinced I can't afford the trip....But after our face-to-face here...I'm really rethinking that! PULLEEEEEASSE...ANY tips on the CHEAPEST way to get and stay there will be greatly appreciated!
