Possible MSG Connection?

I've always been very skeptical about food triggers for
clusters (except for alcohol and cigarettes--which are
not really foods). However, I recently read in my
headache book that MSG can be a trigger in clusters. So
I thought I should at least pay more attention to that.
Chinese food has always been a big thing in my life,
because we live close to Monterey Park in Los Angeles,
which has a big Chinese population and totally wonderful
food. We go there to eat about once a week. Well...
all I can say is that every night I've had Chinese
food for dinner, I've had a problem with my headaches
during the night. Last week, for instance, I was doing
fine towards the end of the week. No problems at all
Friday night. Chinese food Saturday. Up most of the
night Saturday with headache problems. Every night since--
no problems. I suppose this could still be a coincidence,
but I'm going to track it a lot more closely. I'm
also going to note any possible problems with chocolate.
Coffee does not seem to be a trigger for me. This all
flies in the face of what I'd previous thought--that
only migraines had food triggers.

Has anyone else noticed any of these, or other, food
triggers?
