Yes, there are other relatively inexpensive ways to help.
Ice packs applied to the back of the neck during an attack will help keep him cool and hopefully keep that blood pressure down.
Dramamine or Benadryl before bed, might get him through the night without an attack and the Benadryl will help with the congestion.
Oxygenate him. Even if this means him getting out for a brisk walk will bring some oxygen back into his blood. I've seen my husband do this at the onset of an attack. Walk really fast outside - even go run the dog. We have an added bonus in that we live in Canada, so the air is cool and that helps him too.
You sound like a very concerned supporter and I love to hear about folks like you. That, in itself is helping your hubby a lot whether you know it or not.
