Hey guys. Has ANYONE's neurologist told you that Imitrex nasal spray will absolutley work if you have "real and true cluster headaches"?? This is what mine just told me. The imitrex pills have never worked, but I have not tried the spray. Seems if the pills do nothing, neither will the spray. But she was very,very insistant on this prescription. (Guess I'll have to give it a shot) Also, does verapimil work for anyone. If so, what is the dosage and how long do you take it?? My doc told me it will work but I have to take it every day until the CH's go away, even if it takes weeks,months,years...it just doesn't make sense to me (considering I'm an episodic sufferer and they will go away at some point anyway). The last quetion I have is about oxygen. Does this help anyone? I've heard it does, and without the bad side-effects from narcotics,imitrex,etc. I suggested this and told her what info I learned from the web, and I really got blown off. She said the O2 was too expensive,and didn't work in most cases. I don't know. I read one thing and get told other things. Just trying to piece it all together! Please help-give me insight if you can.
