There have been increasing numbers of us, chronics as well as episodics, who have obtained spectacular success from taking a single small dose of one of the indole-based hallucinogens such as psilocybin or LSD.

Most of the few dozen who have posted their experiences with them have used psilocybin (magic mushrooms), but some have used LSD. The success rate from the reports we have so far is higher BY FAR than any other treatment described here... probably around ninety per cent to date. It is also becoming apparent as more data rolls in that most of the few failures so far can probably be attributed to interactions with other medications. It seems that opioids, ergot compounds, and anti-psychotic meds can decrease or eliminate the effectiveness of the hallucinogens.

It appears that some longterm chronics need a higher dose than episodics, and some will even have to take a second dose several days after the first one in order to get complete relief.

Typical remission periods average six months to a year with a SINGLE SUB-HALLUCINOGENIC dose, some longer (especially for episodics whose typical remission period was already longer than a year), some shorter.

There are literally hundreds of posts to be found in the archives through the "search" function, but here is a good one to start with. Stavi is still painfree, although she did have to take a followup dose about six months after her first when she started shadowing heavily again.
