I get clusters and migraines, but I DON'T NEED
support for my migraines sinces I may get a really severe
one twice a year tops, that would probably get me
laughed off any migraine support group anyway.

But I would like to discuss the interesting fact that
some people get both types, and wonder what the connection
may be. I don't fully believe the people who say
there is absolutely no connection, We still don't know everything
about migraines, and know relatively little about
clusters. They are both vascular headaches, often
respond to the same medications, and are aggrivated
by the same triggers. Sure the mechanism that sets them off
may be different, but that doesn't mean there's nothing in
common.

Bottom line, migraine-only sufferers should be
(kindly) redirected to other sites, but legitimate
cluster and migraine sufferers should as welcome as much
as any other cluster and disorder x sufferer.

I can see that the basis of this is hard feelings
that some experience based on the fact that many
people, including doctors, don't understand the
difference, and lump the two headaches into one
category. Don't blame those of us who do understand the
difference, and sufferer from both, for that unfortunate
fact.
