hi i am taking topamax right now and it is the only reason i am functioning. i hve tried everything in the past year i have been chronic since sept 9 00. i have never had a cycle this long and i am trying to deal with it. this med is the best one i have taken. i have tried lithium, deprokote, verapimil, sancert, steriiods, o2, migranal. migranal is the nose form of dhe. whenever i absolutely cant handle it i go to the er and get dhe interveniously. after that i usually have a few days of pain free. nothing else seems to work. topamasx does not get rid of all the headaches, but mostly i have shadows. i can work now that im moderting myself with this medication. good luck. topamax is for eplipsey.
