Renal and liver are back to normal now, prognosis for brain stem improvement are good. He has improved in ability to even balance himself in a sitting position since discharge from the hospital on July 31. He had a set back after coming home where the liver values sky rocketed, but this lasted only one day and on that day he was very ill and yellow eyed. The following day he was not symptomatic. Physician explanation was that a flap that effects liver function, for some unknown reason, had malfunctioned. At that time an ultrasound was ordered, and when performed detected no abnormalities, liver and kidney results were within normal limits. Prognosis for brain stem improving is good, but will take 2-4 years. He is to have another MRI in either January or February to compare and perhaps see the progress. Both GP and Neuro from hospital are quite impressed with the progress he has made from the care he has received. As I said, I am basically the sole caretaker, and as life delt it my utmost priority. It is good I had a healthcare background and knowledge of therapy, etc.
Anyway, back to the point, maybe LSD would be the better choice, but I have no way of procuring it. If I should come up with any ideas, I will pursue them.
I have read and posted to the board periodically in the past, and when this route was what appears to be the only viable one, I was hoping that you two Guru's of the Shrooms would respond. The fact that you both did has brightened my day and I feel as though I am further along the path that was so dark before that.
One more thing, in my distant past life I froliced in hallucinagens, did more than my share of LSD, mescaline, Peyeote, and there is always nasty stuff in the lab made stuff. I know from experience that a little rat poison won't hurt you, but what is the stuff like now days? I like to think I am a little older and wiser today, but then it was strictly recreation and now I am interested in a little reprieve of pain for someone I love very much. I guess since I am healthy and maintain minimal (in my eyes LOL) bad habits, I could be the guinea pig and try it first. Guess a person should at least keep a path open to the places they pass through on the trail of life just in case situations like these surface.
Thanks for the input and the advice, I will see what I can do.
Katrina
