I've been trucking back and forth between Dallas and OKC for a printer problem; consequently, I haven't kept up as well as I should. Sorry about the "dry" confusion. As Rick_K said, the hotel itself is quite wet. However, I am pretty sure that the surrounding area of Farmers Branch is dry. So if someone wanted liquor for their room or the parking lot, they will have to go to Addison which is about 15 minutes away. Also, if Steve and Marta are coming, I'll have to decline. Marta has already tried to marry me off to her sister once. Lord knows what arm twisting she would do it we were in the same room together. All unmarried males need to be on the alert for some serious match-making.

Hey Donna, We need to fix a place to meet. I know where the liquor store is in Gun Barrell City, but that's about the only place I know there. (Long story from my YOUTH!! - I drank more back then....LOL) Can we get to Dallas from there? Vacations from kids is a good thing. I'm READY TODAY!!!! Hugs BD

Jaded, I'm not sure what Rick_K has setup at the Renaissance. He was asking a lil' while back how many were coming so he could look into a group discount but i didn't see much response in this post. You might p.m. him and ask! See ya in a month! Renee

LOL........why is it that things are just not simple anymore??? LMAO They just couldn't wait to get my cc# and when she gave me confirmation #, and I repeated the info to her, it was then that she said there were no rooms left that were smoking. I just sent them an e-mail. Will imagine that I will get a response from them in the a.m. Either way....I know there is a Best Western close...and if I have too, I will cancel with Renaissance and stay at BW. It just would have been easier to stay where everyone is gonna stay, ya know??? I will send you an im when I hear from them. Maybe they can "find" one more smoking room. LMAO We'll see!!!! BTW...I am coming to town on Wed. My hubby is working in Ft. Worth and I will stay with him on Wed. night. I have to pick someone up at DFW Thurs. a.m. Then I will go to hotel (whichever 1 gives me what I want..LOL) and check in. I will let you know as soon as I hear from the great folks at Marriott/Renaissance. Jean
