Hi Barbara,
I don't really know anything about Texas.
I've only been to Texas 3 times, once to Galveston and twice to San Antonio. We did enjoy very much our trips there. Lots to see and do. Wish we had had more time there.
But, one suggestion............
Can you get the people in Galveston to do something about the mosquitos? Them suckers are huge and nasty. One of them stole my plate of BBQ ribs. And another one drank all my beer.  Roll Eyes

That's how we grow BIG mosquitos in Texas. We send them after the tourists.  Grin

Hope you visited Dick's Last Resort in San A. It's one of my favorite places. Got hit with a CH in there one night, but it was so crazy that banging my head on the table wasn't even out of place.  Everyone thought I was just having a good time....

Renee,

Go ahead and do the name tags if ya want too, sweetie.

My surprise guest announced in chat the other nite she was coming to the m&g....LMAO

So, if you are gonna make name tags.....make one for Jackie.  She be coming alllllllllll the way from Indiana!

I have been waiting about 11 days now for the Renaissance to get back with me about a smoking room, to no avail.  So, Jackie and Elaine and I will probably be staying at the Best Western on 35E.  It's about 3 miles from the Renaissance.  The BW is east of Valley View on I 35.  So, it shouldn't be too difficult to find the Renaissance.

I went to the lakehouse on Monday to get the boat ready for tournament season.....got home tonight.  So, I will be able to stay for the m&g without having to leave early.

Looking forward to the 28th!!!!!

Jean

Yep, we been to that Sleezy Dick's place. Both times we were in San Antonio we stayed on the River Walk. I think we ate there 4 times. I have to laugh everytime I think about the sign in the men's room
"Please wash hands before leaving Dick's. We don't want you carrying germs out to the street."
Really cool place but last time we had a room on the river side of the La Mansion (or something like that) Hotel. Big mistake....the Hard Rock Cafe was just across the river and they like to turn up the volumn until very late at night, every night.

well its me Renny   (karen) which is how you have me listed!!!  I am gonna be there come hell or ch's, guess you know which I prefer.....so my understanding is the R Hotel, will be there at 2pm...can't wait to meet you all though I will be the one standing in the corner----anyone trying to pin a name tag on me***can that
thought  now...not gonna happen!!!!I will introduce myself!...when I am ready, willing and able.   I already enjoy your company...looking forward to all of it.   Woody,my other half, will more than likely decline at last minute, though he is sympathetic to the cause he is not the most sociable creature...and truthfully, this is so much more for me at this initial enlightening stage...he is just truly happy I have found someone-anyone-anywhere in the universe- to talk to!  So..we are good with this.  Hoping to not have to kill anyone before Feb 28th    Karen

You are sooooooooooo lucky I will not be there, 'cause I would stick that name tag on you in a minute girl, just ask all those tough guys that weren't gonna hug another guy at the midwest meet and greet.  You'd get a big ol' hug and be glad that you did, if I was there.... lol

Will one of you ladies and gents in charge be starting a new thread, with finalized information, as we get closer?

With all the options/discussions going back and forth, I'm already past confused.  I just need to know who/where/when/what/why, etc...

Thanks so much,
Brad
