If necessary, I can help shuttle people from DFW airport or Love Field. Both are about a 20 minute trip (one-way) from the hotel location although Love is really the closer.

Southwest Airlines often has the cheapest fares if you don't mind layovers and switching planes to get to Dallas. Southwest can only fly to the four adjoining states from Dallas. There are a lot of direct flights to New Orleans and Houston with a change of planes to Love Field.

Once you have your ETAs and airline, let me know if I can help. If you decide to fly Southwest, let me know, and I will give you some hints. Spent way too many years traveling with that carrier.

Do they still have those big planes with lots of room and painted like cartoon characters. Been a while since I went with them.

Are there so many of us who have made reservations that all the smoking rooms are all gone????

Jean, did they tell you that for a weeknight or just Saturday night?

I still think it’s some sort of communistic plot……….I will try and go by next week during the day, when there are smarter idiots there, and see what’s going on.

Rick,
I am coming to Dallas on Wed.  Staying with hubby in Ft. Worth Wed nite.  Going to Renaissance on Thursday.  They have NO smoking rooms available at all for any of the 3 days. (Thur., Fri., Sat)

I did send them an email...got an answer this a.m., that said they would get back with me in a day or 2.  LMAO

But np for me and my "guest".  We will stay elsewhere if need be.  I am driving, so I will have a vehicle to drive from where we stay to Renaissance.  I talked to Miklos today, and he was gonna see what else was in the direct area.  I know there is a Best Western real close, and I CAN get my smoking room there.

I will let you know what they say when I get the next email.  I did tell them we had others that had not made reservation yet that would also need smoking room.  Guess we'll see!  LOL

PF vibes,
Jean

Miklos,

Should we gather from your post about shuttling others from the airport that you will be in attendance for the meet and greet?

Last post from you regarding meet and greet stated you would not be attending?   Huh

Let clairfy this so i can update the list of those that will be attending.

thanks

Renee,
I spoke to Mik today, and from what I understood....he is planning on being there.

I think you took for serious what Mik said to Steve in an earlier post.    Huh

I think all who planned on being there will be.  Plus there is a couple more that you didn't plan on.  LOL

Jean,

Good deal on Miklos still attending and yes, I took his and Steve's comments serious.  I never know when some are kiddin' or not, except Jonny...he's always full of it.

Who else is missing from the list?

Here is the last list that was posted:

Renee & Amy
Txbasslady
Donna D
Roxy
BarbaraD
Rick_K & Debby
Miklos
Jadedgazer & Mike
rumplestiltskin, Adam & Georgia
brad267
jflynn
DJ
Cat
nor4hire & Martha

I'd like to have a complete list so I can make name tags for all.  Actually, I would like to have everyone's user name and real name and put both on each name tag.  Us clusterheads don't have the best memory and I know name tags would certainly benefit us.

Four weeks to go and I wish it were tomorrow!

Renee,
You can certainly do the name tags, if you wish too.  However, even with CH....you can recognize a CH brother and sister from a mile off.  LMAO

In Davenport....I was the 1st Cher there.  When Woobie and Ramon got to the hotel......I knew it was them from 50 ft away.  They had just parked their car and was walking towards the entrance.....funny thing was..Woobie knew also!  CH is a strange thing  Huh

Oh, and BTW...I think Elaine is coming also.  I tried to call her, but didn't get an answer.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 28th!!!

Hey, man! The Cow Pasture Bank used to be one of my best customers for IBM Printing. Only Texas state bank that has been continuously owned and operated. Never sold and never traded.

They also have a fly-in teller service. There is a small airstrip behind the bank. Folks fly in, and a teller runs out to handle the banking transaction(s). No jet service though.

P.S. I helped design the logo. Was a pig to digitize though.
