And "We the People" are just letting them have more and more power. The wiretapping stuff -- (sound like KGB???). I remember when Nikita said all that stuff and we just laughed (not laughing now).

Unless and until the American people WAKE UP and take an interest in OUR country (and not just sit around and BITCH about what HAS happened) it's just gonna get worse.

I agree about party loyalty. One is as bad as the other. We keep electing the one who tells the best lie.

Our kids are not being educated - they're being indoctrionated (sp) in our schools because we don't "insist" they be taught the basics. We don't work with them at home to make sure they're learing what we were taught (oh I know - we work and we're just too tired). We look UP to higher authorities (some who are dumber than frogs) and take THEIR word that they are RIGHT about things that we should know are wrong because they are in a "position".

My dad used to say "You can't fight City Hall." but over the years I've disproved that theory a number of times. Now I'm not saying you don't have to "pick" your fights and some you're not going to win right off the bat, but each one of us can make a difference if we just persist in 'trying' to change the status quo. But it takes gettin' off our apathetic butts and trying.....

I guess I was just born argumentative, but I've never understood anyone who would sit around and have dirt thrown on them when they could stand up and throw it back. I KNOW the names of my Senators, Congressman (state and Fed) secretaries (and that's who gets things done) and THEY know me cause I call, write, e-mail frequently and let them know how I feel. If everyone did that, they'd earn their keep and maybe get something done. If not - unelect them and get someone in there who WILL do something.

Off soapbox....  Hugs BD

Good lord

I am tired of paying to wipe people's asses. I'd vote for Condy  Rice  before I'd vote for these dumbasses. If you think health care is expensive now, wait until it's free. If you hire a lawyer, you better have a good reason, other wise you pay. We have become so "I deserve this" it's been disgusting. It's pretty hard to blame the businesses when you are the dumbass that signed the lease that you couldn’t afford. YOU are the one person that is ultimately responsible for your actions. It's time people pulled their head out of their asses.

The Mike that will stand down now.

Here is one of those things where a common sense is needed. If this were 100% Kosher, this thing would have been brought out at every GOP speech, blog, TV interview and in print. Something ain't right here or it would be everywhere, not just online.

Every now and then you bring up the Commie and Socialist rants about Democrats and candidates. Ever since Ronald Reagan, this country had tipped so far from Socialism and of course Communism, that the two doctrines had never been weaker. Reagan, Bush, Clinton (welfare reform and the firestorm Hillary created on health care) are examples of this weakness. But, you can thank George W. for rekindling the interest in lots of government programs and its sticking its nose in our lives. Some of it was Dubya's violation of the Constitution but a lot comes from the reaction to his complete lack of competence and creating such a great divide between CEOs and the poor. It's never been so great and it creates interest in government controls. Allowing drug companies to run the FDA has finally brought about serious demand for socailized medicine. We are likely to get it and once it's done, it will be political suicide for any party to tinker with it. Fine with me and you can thank George Bush's war on the middle class for this development. He's the best friend socialists have.

Hillary Clinton became the first First Lady to testify before a grand jury when she was subpoenaed by the Whitewater grand jury.

Hillary Clinton...
* Took a $100,000 bribe, camouflaged as futures trades, from Tyson Foods Inc. At issue was a $100,000 windfall from cattle futures after a $1,000 investment.
* Speculated in Health Care industry futures while overseeing legislative reform of same.
* Failed to correct false testimony by co-defendant Ira Magaziner in Health Care trial.
* Ordered members of the Health Care Task Force to shred documents that were the target of a court probe.
* Obstructed justice by ordering the shredding of Vince Foster's documents in the Rose Law Firm.
* In 1996, Hillary was accused by the Senate Special Whitewater Committee of ordering the removal of potentially damaging files related to Whitewater from Foster's office on the night of his death and telling aides to lie about their removal. Of course, Hillary denied everything.
* Obstructed justice by keeping her billing records, a document sought under subpoena, in the White House residence.

* Lied to investigators about her knowledge about billing records.
* Lied to investigators about her involvement in the Castle Grande land flip con.
* Ordered the use of the FBI to discredit Travel Office employees.
* Lied to investigators about her involvement in the firing of Travel Office Employees. In May 1993, the co-president was accused of having a central hand in firing several long-time employees of the White House Travel Office, the better to give the pricey travel business to her Hollywood pals, Linda Bloodworth Thomason and Harry Thomason. Hillary denied everything and when Whitewater Independent Counsel Robert Ray investigated Travelgate, he concluded that there was substantial evidence that involved Hillary but not enough to warrant an indictment.
* A Federal judge orders a trial on July 25, 1994 to determine if Hillary Clinton's heath care task force illegally operated in secret.
* The White House finally releases more than 2,000 documents on June 25, 1996, relating to the travel office firings, originally requested two years prior by congressional investigators.

To me, the picture of Bush descerating the flag looks as much like Clinton from behind as Dubya. Are you sure of it?

Thanks for one of the ubiquitous Hillary-hater blogs. Of course if this were anywhere near proscecutable, it would be in every GOP speech too...not just talk radio screechers.

I'll give you that the second one might - might - be staged at best. But the first one is so obvious it's not even funny. The perspective, the light, the source of light illuminating the president and first lady, it doesn't fit with the rest of the pic. It is quite obvious that they were cut and pasted into another background.

If you can't see that, you need to consult with a graphic artist. And maybe your eyedoctor.

That was on Sept. 10, 2006.  Ladder Company 10 Firehouse.
You would hope it would be some sick and twisted 'liberal' photoshopping this to make it look like Bush Jr is an idiot.  But, nope.  It's real.

I think your eyesight is good, bro, but your vision is clouded.

Charlie,
As far as I can tell, neither of those photos are photoshopped.  Not to defend Bush, but the second shot looks like he is standing on a mat of some kind (why in the world would you put something like that on the ground to begin with?).  I've also seen an expanded version of this photo and it looks like those walking behind him didn't make an effort to *not* step on the *whatever it is*.

The first shot was taken when he was in Austria and people wanted his autograph.

Never mind the Democrat ticket (I'm Irish, so I can't vote), let's celebrate the popularity of Linux on these pages.

I've never seen so many Linuxers in one place (cept in Linux forums), so my nomination is Hil-Linux Rodham GnOmebama.

Yep, folks, even I'm surprised at the sort of things I can write when I'm PF.

In that vein of thought, since Tux is based on Opus, and Opus's best friend is Bill the Cat, who dutifully runs for president every 4 years. This should be the year he finally wins. With Ron Paul gone what other choice do we have.
