I am a "newbie" to this family. So mainly I come here to read and learn from everyone. Bits of info to research, etc...

My orginal post was back around April 26th.

I am on prednisone. I experienced the monster sitting in my right temple, as a dull ache. I figured that the med was doing what it could to tame it.

I went one week that way, livable, with a tender temple.

Last night around 11pm, in bed, it felt like a flashbulb went off behind my right eye. The headache never sprang at me???

Unfortunately, at 1:15am I awoke in agony like someone stuck my eye with a redhot fireplace poker.
I tried to scream but nothing came out. I crawled across the floor to my usual position. ( sitting in the bathroom wimpering) I never made it, instead, my girlfriend awoke to my sobs, with me softly banging my head on the floor.

Quickly I took the cafergot. The beast came on full force, but in a different way. My sinus cavaity never closed up??? The pain was not directly behind my eye.

Bear with me, my couple of questions are coming.

It hurt like a monster for about 40 minutes, I begged, cursed, sobbed, wished I had a gun. Then it backed out quickly.

What my problem is.... I was unable to go back to sleep. I stayed up the rest of the night. My Stomach didn't take to the Cafergot to well. To be quite honest here, I have never cried off an on so much in my life as today. In the car on the way to work, she was driving, I cried. It was like I lost my emotional control. At the doctors office this morning, same thing. I asked to go home sick today, same thing in the car on the way home. What is wrong with me???

Any insight or words of wisdom would go a long way.

I stay on the sidelines as not to interfer with the postings here. I just a clueless. Is it the affects of the cafergot and no sleep???

Signed with tears welling,

Don

God bless all, keep ur head up.
