Patty takes 2 types of it. One is Oxycontin 40mg, sustained release. She takes it twice a day. The other is 5mg Oxycontin Instant Release. It has a peak time of about 30 minutes, and she takes it PRN. The Oxy 40 has helped some. Keeps the peaks a little less, and the IR can also help, if you take it in time. Don't wait till it's bad. Oxyconting is a morphine derivative. Patty has been on them for over 3 months with no side effects, but she is so drug resistant it isn't even funny. Most common side effect would probably be like morphine - tired and sleepy. If you need more info, let me know, and I'll look it up in the PDR.
