Hello. I have only posted here once and that was a very long time ago. But my headaches started up last week so they are back to the forefront of my life once again. Does anybody else have a problem with their insurance company?
I have about 3 headaches on average (meaning I can get 6 at the most) a day, and my doctor only prescribes me 6 doses of Imitrex and one bottle of Stadol. So, I run out with Imitrex in 2 days and the Stadol in about 3, so I have adequate medicine for 2 and inadequate (but at least SOME) for one other. My insurance company will only let me refill the Imitrex every 2 weeks or so. Obviously this does not cut it. Here is the dumb part... Stadol is the "addictive" drug (being an opiate) while Imiterex is not. BUT, Imitrex costs a whole hell of a lot more... which is of course why my insurance company won't let me have it. Does anybody else have this problem? I hate it. I hate them and their capitalistic ways to save money. They don't care. How could they? They could only care if they knew me... which they never can. ANyways... I am glad this place is here for me to vent my frustration. My girlfriend gets mad at me when I speak of my clusters. SHe hates it when I can't do something like go to class or something until the headache is over. She just has no clue... NObody does. But you all know that I am sure. Thanks... and L8rz
