Akina,

Monterey, like Joe said,  is on the most beautiful coast-line in the world.

Once you get settled, you MUST see one of the best aquariums in the world, explore the "missions" that Junniper Serra built, travel to Big Sur and walk into the 2000 yr. old Redwoods for a spirtual experience like no other.  Monterey is south of San Fransisco which is a city...well words just escape me now because it is a city that can't be explained.  It has to be experienced.  Walk across the Golden gate bridge or up Nob Hill..O.K. I am sounding like a travel agent, aren't I?

I can't think of one thing that you are going to dislike about Monterey.  I am so ahppy for your news.   Smiley

Lol!  Don't worry about sounding like a travel agent! Auban and I are both really interested in exploring all the state has to offer.  I wouldn't be surprised if Auban hash out and about every spare weekend!

As for being by the coast: YIPPIE!!!!!  I am a HUGE water lover, so you can kinda guess where I'll be spending my time during the week!

Then there is the whole "meeting new Clusterheads" aspect lol

Kevin, once again thank you for making me laugh. Grin

Bob P, Congratulations! Smiley

Marc, I feel for the little Rocco! All the best to the little fighter & the whole family.

I have more happy news: I met a doc today, she checked our baby and she is now in safe weeks. She is 2829grams (estimation) and growing normally. Smiley I also checked: if ch should arrive during/right after birth, I will get medical oxygen at the hospital, at the very same room our little one will be born. Smiley

Sanna,

I cannot imagine a God who would allow you to be 'hit' with CH, while in the throes of labor and delivery.  That would be just too much.  Before or after is one thing.  During????  No,No,No!!!!!!!!!!!  I'll be praying for you.

We got about 1.5" of glorious rain last night!  It woke me up but I don't care.  It has been a lovely cool day.  Temps will shoot back up tomorrow, but I'm so grateful for the reprieve. Smiley

I don't care who sees me, but I'm gonna do a crazy dance...right here, right now!

*dances like an idiot, like a kid enjoying themselves*

WE GOT OUR ORDERS!!!  Auban and I have discussed it, and we will be leaving by the end of August to being our trek westward.  It's not much time to pack up an entire house, plus Auban's dozen or so tanks, but I have family in our area that is more than willing to come out and help pack things up.  We plan on moving so early (a month or so at least) to ensure that we can get an appt with his new specialist (I believe he's called the "All Knowing Grand Poo Bah" of the CH world) and also ensure I have continued care for my own personal health reasons.

If any one would like to PM me with advice for such a long drive, I would be COMPLETELY grateful.  I've move from one state to the one directly above it, but never a cross country move.

Oh, and I hope everyone is having a great day/week/month/year.  And keep up the good news posts...everyone needs a smile or laugh, especially after the Beast decides he wants to try a new dance number!

If you are referring to Peter Goadsby in San Fransisco...then you are correct in your assumption of what he's called.

Cross-country moves are no different, than from one state to another close by.  Just longer.   Grin  Enjoy the journey and take time to stop and see things along the way.  This country is so beautiful and every state has it's own wonders.

Congrats Akina!  You will have a beautiful drive if you will take the time to enjoy it.  I know it is a job moving, and you are trying to get there, but take the time to enjoy all that is on the way.  If I knew exactly from where to where I could possibly give you a good routing.  I've driven a good bit of this country! PM me if you want some advice, or put down the way you plan to go on here and let others tell you what to look for.  I know if you are in a rental truck you won't be able to go out of your way  much, but there are still things you should watch for.

Well, after much talking (and racing around our current base, LOL), we have finally been told we have 8 days to get from one side of the US to the other. I believe that is based off us traveling 350 miles in the span of one day.

@Linda:  Yep, that's exactly who I was referring to!  Auban's current specialist has already told us that we will be getting a referral at least to his clinic in CA; at the most, actually getting him as Auban's next specialist.  We are SUPER excited about that, lol.

350 miles in one day is a piece of cake.   Gives you enough time to stop and smell the roses along the way.  Are you taking interstate 80 by any chance?  Not sure where you're starting off from.  Interstate 40 is good also.

Thank you, Linda. Smiley
I do hope that ch will stay far away during labor, but I want to be prepared for everything. That helps me to prepare.

So far omega3s have nicely kept ch away, but the doc did mention that if I want to be absolutely sure, I should quit taking them: there might be a risk during a c-section, should I need one; I'm not scheduled for one. I am a bit nervous about giving up taking omega3s, because last week I took it later than usually and shadows appeared. That was my test to see what would happen and the sign was not for it. I need to consider all factors, I suppose.

But to add more good news: baby is now full-term and that makes me so happy! Smiley That means safe weeks and she's welcome to arrive any day she wants to. I do have a nice date in mind, but Little Rascal can decide herself... Wink

More good news: the move to the new home. Almost everything is now here at the new place and I'm surrounded by only 26 unpacked boxes. Esa has already assembled most of the furniture, only one bookself is left. That means that we're left with unpacking smaller things, finding their new places and then decorating. Can't wait! Smiley

All the best & PF days,
Sanna & Little Rascal 37+2

Just returned from 10 peaceful days sleeping in a tent among the wilderness with my son.  It was our 6th annual father-son birthday camping trip.  We are born 1 day (+ 32 yrs) apart.  He turned 12 and I turned 44 while we were away.

We went to Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park including Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  We enjoyed viewing wildlife, geysers, waterfalls, FRESH OXYGEN, tall forested mountains filled with glaciers and green trees, cooler temperatures, friendly people, and dozens of adventurous outdoor activities.

That's a quick report of my good news. Wink

ohhhhh, Gregg, you sure were in a beautiful place to celebrate your birthdays.

Hey guys????

This is what I had in mind to jump-start the general posts.  Can we keep this going?   Surely everyone has good news to report all the time and this thread has been a breath of fresh air here.

Lets keep it going, o.k.?  Newcomers sometimes don't post in the right forum and post HERE in the general board instead of meds, getting top know you or CH specific.

I'd sure like this forum to stay as it is...a place to post  "GENERAL"  good stuff/news.  To make each other laugh.   Wink

     Good news:

I have a really good friend from here.  She lives in Canada. (my ts)  Her husband HAD cancer but has gone through the "process" and is cancer free now.  I am so happy for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I cannot tell you how happy this makes me.

Won't teach the rascal how to drink, Sanna, but will certainly show her the rules. More importantly, did you know that any good Aussie beer is the perfect cure for teething problems?

I'm so happy that everyone is still posting their good news.  It's been really helpful for me with the past week, what with all the stress of moving.

Let's see:  My daughter turned 3, is growing like a weed, and her vocabulary is increasing every time we turn around!  Auban is still PF, so our current treatment plan is working like a charm (knock on wood!), and I've managed to pack up half the house already!
