A serious question.

Is everyone here convinced that there are medicines that prevent them from going into cycle, or that prevent attacks even if they are chronic or in cycle? They started me off with Sansert 23 years ago, and I have run the gamut from the ergots to prednisone to verapamil. I think lithium MAY have changed my attacks from chronic to cyclical, but have no way of knowing that for sure. I do believe that 'shrooms can prevent and even abort cycles. I have not taken a "preventive" for more than five years. I get hit for several weeks and I try to abort every attack with oxygen. I have not had a Kip-10 for at least eight years, but I had a few that I could not deal with in the days when I had no abortives, only preventives. Perhaps this is simple-minded, but to me, if a medicine is a successful preventive, then you should not get any more attacks.
