actually, I think I made the dopiest response years ago before I knew about ch and before I kept a log of symptoms and times, when I told the Dr "I have a migraine that lasts a month, changes all the time, and never goes away."  I was told to try aspirin.

My husband on occasion has said, "If you don't think about it so much, maybe it won't happen."

almost forgot, we had a temp clerical who was also a medical assistant, and when I asked her if she knew about cluster headaches she said, "You put them in a room by themselves for 10 minutes, then they are ok."  I just stared, and my buddy Jacki laughed her ass off. (yes, we told her later, that wasn't ch)

One of the first Dr's I saw for ch thought it was all in my head and I should try "de-stressing"  LOL  I asked him which side of the match book cover was his diploma written on and walked out.

Some of these are terrible!

The dopiest was the one that made me angriest.  My first doc hadn't heard of them, "cluster headaches huh?" Funny emphasis on cluster, "sounds like you've done a lot of research.  Ive never heard of them, what do you want me to do?"

I was fully expecting him to say that they sounded made up in his stupid little voice.

Pretty much, that's how my Mom views it. I used to have seizures. When my cycle started, she thought I was having them again. We had it checked out, I'm not... but she says the look I get on my face before one, then how I look afterward is how I used to look during 'em. You also get the whole worn-out, drained feeling after.

BACK ON TOPIC!: I've had people, including a nurse, tell me that if I'd keep my hair out of my eyes, I wouldn't get headaches. WTF?

My bangs are usually down on both sides of my face if I'm wearing my hair like that...errr... WHY IS ONLY MY LEFT SIDE HURTING AND CLOSED UP THEN? D:

The nurse wound up reaching over, and tucking my hair behind my ear. She was lucky I [i]DON'T react violently to being touched during them unless I'm startled.

It makes my brain cells want to commit suicide. LOGIC IS WHAR?

You should try red peppers (in your nose).

when I first was in hosiptal the stuid nuro said your scan is clear you havent reacted to morphine so therefore the headaches are not real and you are depressed!

I asked so why is one eye dilated and goes red etc and he said it just proves your depressed!

Then a few weeks later another nuro said you have CH but there is no treatment or pain relif avaliable and go away and live with it!

Needless to say I have never gone near those 2 donkeys for nuros again!
